“US army suicides are due to lack of confidence”

At least 140 active duty servicemen in the US Army have reportedly taken their own lives since the beginning of the year.

Iraq war veteran Adam Kokesh says the reason for the wave of suicides is the lack of confidence in leadership and low morale.

“What we have now in Iraq and Afghanistan are undeclared wars where we are occupying countries and the mission is unclear. Service members are facing all the stresses of normal combat – without a single cause behind it or sense of rightness of what they are doing,” Kokesk told RT.

He added that with no end of the war in sight, there are also complains about the ways the troops are being supplied – so the servicemen cannot even be confident about their equipment.
