Israeli army prevents Palestinian from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque

Israeli soldiers prevented Thursday Palestinians from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque to pray to ease the entry of Jewish extremists to the Mosque under police protection, local sources said.

Israeli police had tightened security procedures on the parameters of the Holy Muslim site, preventing Palestinians under the age of 40 from entering the Mosque.

That was to allow Jewish groups to enter the vicinity of the Mosque. Radical Jewish groups called via the cyberspace for daily intrusion of the Mosque to celebrate Hanukkah, an eight-day holiday also known as the Festival of Lights according to Jewish faith.
