В Нижнем Новгороде вандалы разгромили мусульманское кладбище

5 ноября на мусульманской части Новосормовского кладбища в Нижнем Новгороде был совершен акт вандализма. Неизвестные осквернили более сорока могил. Из могил были вырыты ритуальные мусульманские погребальные столбики с опознавательными данными умерших, часть из которых была украдена вандалами.

Как сообщил руководитель отдела похоронного бюро РОМ Нижнего Новгорода Рустам Басыров, в РУВД Сормовского р-на был составлен протокол по факту вандализма и ведется следствие, передает "Ислам.ру".

Заметим, мусульманские кладбища неоднократно подвергались актам вандализма на территории России. Так в июне этого года в челябинском Златоусте неизвестные устроили настоящий погром на одном из городских погостов. Вандалы проникли на территорию мусульманского кладбища "Уреньга", где повалили 15 надгробий из мраморной крошки.

Мы объясним Латыниной, что такое ислам – ректор университета

Журналистка радиостанции «Эхо Москвы» Юлия Латынина, выступая с исламофобских позиций, намеренно обостряет ситуацию в многоконфессиональной стране. С таким мнением выступили ректоры исламских университетов России.

Напомним, что 2 октября 2010 года в эфире радиостанции «Эхо Москвы» Юлия Латынина заявила, что мусульмане с радостью воспринимают трагедию жертв теракта, а исламские университеты выпускают террористов. «Назовите мне выпускников каирского университета «Аль-Азхар», которые являются лауреатами Нобелевской премии по медицине или физике. А количество этих выпускников, которые являются террористами, до фига, извините. Потому что университеты в арабском мире не являются рассадниками физики и математики. Университеты в арабском мире являются рассадниками религиозного фундаментализма», - заявила журналистка.

Ректор Российского исламского университета Рафик Мухаметшин полагает, что Юлия Латынина либо не обладает информацией, либо намеренно дезинформирует радиослушателей:

«Каирский университет «Аль-Азхар» выпускает специалистов в самых разных областях – физики, химии и других. У нас в Российском исламском университете работают 8 выпускников «Аль-Азхара». Латынина утверждает, что выпускники «Аль-Азхара» - фундаменталисты, и следуя ее логике, выпускать они также будут фундаменталистов. Эта логика – ущербная. Журналистка либо не обладает информацией, либо намеренно обостряет ситуацию.

Разумеется, Латынина не говорит напрямую, но подтекст ее выступления таков, что умеренных мусульман не бывает, что все мусульмане являются радикалами. Это примитивная логика. Журналистка настраивает против мусульман, но почему-то не задается вопросом: а в чем причины отсталости мусульманского мира? В своем обширном выступлении об исламе и мусульманах она ни словом не обмолвилась, почему мусульмане так обостренно воспринимают все, что происходит на Западе. Она не говорит о том, что это результат почти двухвековой колонизации Европой мусульманских народов, которая закончилась только в середине 20 века. Это невозможно отрицать. И Европа с пониманием пытается решить эту проблему, в отличие от Латыниной, чье выступление пронизано исламофобией. Мировое сообщество понимает, что это - общая проблема, что мусульмане сами по себе не существуют, что они отстали не без помощи европейской цивилизации».

Ректор Северо-Кавказского университетского центра исламского образования и науки Максуд Садиков полагает, что Юлия Латынина разжигает межнациональную и межконфессиональную рознь:

«Мы поддерживаем позицию человека, который обратился в прокуратуру с жалобой на выступление Латыниной, и если необходимо, мы выступим как свидетели обвинения. Но мое мнение, что человека, который не понимает ни сути, ни истории ислама, всерьез воспринимать не следует. Мы ее знаем как специалиста по журналистике, но не специалиста по исламу.

Если бы это было заявление человека, авторитетного в исламе, тогда должна была бы быть дискуссия. Но она в этой области ничего не смыслит. Неужели она не знает Аль-Газали, Ас-Суюти, Ат-Тирмизи и других? Пусть приезжает к нам в Дагестан, мы с ней пообщаемся и покажем специалистов, которые смогут ей рассказать о том, что такое ислам. У нас есть специалист, который 8 лет учился и работал в «Аль-Азхаре», он ведет у нас магистратуру по теологии. Был бы он экстремистом, его бы в университете не было.

А экстремистов мы не выпустили ни одного. В подполье от нас никто не уходил».

Напомним, что жалоба на политического обозревателя радиостанции «Эхо Москвы» Юлию Латынину за разжигание межконфессиональной розни подана в Генпрокуратуру жителем Подмосковья Ринатом Валитовым. Как следует из жалобы, выступление Латыниной разжигает межконфессиональную рознь и ее действия подпадают под статью 282 УК РФ «Возбуждение ненависти либо вражды, а равно унижение человеческого достоинства».

Тель-Авив обнародовал планы строительства жилья в Восточном Иерусалиме

Израиль одобрил строительство более 1300 новых единиц жилья в Восточном Аль-Кудсе (Иерусалим). Палестина выразила резкий протест против этой программы и указала, что эта программа серьезным образом сказалась на палестино-израильских переговорах.

Глава переговорного департамента ПНА Саиб Арикат сказал журналистам: "Мы думали, что визит премьер-министра Израиля Биньямина Нетаньяху в США был нацелен на прекращение строительства еврейских поселений и возобновление переговоров. Однако сейчас мы поняли, что он намерен сорвать мирные переговоры."

Саиб Арикат сказал, что Биньямин Нетаньяху "закрыл все двери к мирным переговорам" и должен нести ответственность за подрыв переговоров.

Комитет по планированию и строительству Иерусалима, подведомственный министерству внутренних дел Израиля, в понедельник обнародовал программу по строительству 1300 единиц жилья в Восточном Иерусалиме. Министерство внутренних дел Израиля подтвердило, что эта программа была одобрена уже давно.

Биньямин Нетаньяху сейчас находится в США с визитом и проводит с американской администрацией консультации относительно возможности возобновления палестино-израильских переговоров. Исполняющий обязанности главы Палестинской автономии Махмуд Аббас объявил, что он не вернется к переговорам, пока Тель-Авив не заморозит строительство поселений на оккупированных палестинских территориях.

Палестинцы заявляют, что строительство поселений направлено на предотвращение создания независимого палестинского государства, сообщает PressTV.

Как сообщают западные СМИ, Госдепартамент США выразил разочарование планами Израиля возвести около 1300 единиц жилья в Иерусалиме, отметив, что "строительство в чувствительных районах не способствует усилиям американской администрации, направленной на возобновление переговоров между Израилем и палестинцами". Обсуждение темы строительства в Иерусалиме и поселениях, расположенных на оккупированных территориях, будет поднят в ходе ближайшей встречи между Беньямином Нетаньяху и госсекретарем США Хиллари Клинтон.

Israel moves to improve relations with UNESCO after forging holy sites

(Pal Telegraph - Occupied Palestine) The Israeli government is determined to settle existing differences with UNESCO (the UN organization for Education, Science and Culture) in light of the organization’s recent decisions to counter the prior’s practice of adding Islamic holy sites in Palestine to the country’s Jewish heritage list, Israeli media said.

According to Israeli Radio, a series of bilateral talks between Israeli officials and UNESCO representatives will be held in the French capital this week in an effort to solve current disagreements between both parties as relates to Israel’s decision to include a number of religious and archaeological sites in Palestine to the alleged heritage list.

The relationship between Israel and UNESCO reportedly deteriorated after comments by Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon announcing a freeze on bilateral relations with UNESCO in light of the organization’s recent decisions denouncing the Israeli government’s plans to include the Ibrahimi and Bilal Bin Abi Rabah Mosques to the Jewish heritage list.

Israeli Settlers' Terror

Palestinians in the Israeli occupied West Bank face waves after waves of Israeli terror campaigns throughout the year. These terror waves are committed by Israeli extremist settlers (colonizers) as well as the Israeli army. The most common attacks include violent trespassing on Palestinian properties during the night, stone throwing at civilians and their homes, physical assaults on farmers, children and women, destruction of all types of properties, burning civilian structures, crops and trees, shooting livestock, poisoning wells, and theft of crops and cutting fruit trees. The worst of these Israeli terror attacks are committed during harvest seasons, especially during olive season.

Olive trees are very important part of the Palestinian agricultural economy. They have been a major source of livelihood for Palestinians for thousands of years. Olive groves are spread all over the country and every Palestinian house has a couple of olive trees in its front or backyards. Many olive trees are thousands of years old.

As one of their key sources of income, the olive harvest season is a time of critical importance for Palestinians. Harvesting olives is a Palestinian communal activity that involves all classes of population. All family members; children as well as seniors, can be seen working in the fields. School students also volunteer to help farmers during the season. Olive mills and pressers open for business during this season to produce oil, to can pickled olives, and to export the products to other countries. The whole country becomes as busy as a bee hive. Over the last decades olive harvesting has become increasingly difficult due to Israeli settlers (colonizers) and army attacks.

Israeli governments as well as extremist settlers (colonizers) understand that Palestinians get more attached to their country during harvest season, especially during olive harvest. In order for the Zionist Israeli transfer/eviction plan of Palestinians to succeed, this Palestinian sacred attachment to the land must be broken. Thus the Palestinian economy and especially farm land is targeted by the Israeli government as well as the terrorist settlers (colonizers).

To destroy Palestinian farm land the Israeli government designates fields as closed military areas, surround it with barbed wires, and prevent entry to Palestinian farmers. The Israeli apartheid/separation wall had also isolated Palestinian farmers from their land. Although Palestinians resort to Israeli High Court requesting permissions to access their land during harvest seasons, yet no access has ever been granted. Neglected and unattended the fields and the trees become spoiled. After few years the Israeli government claims custodianship of the fields according to the Israeli law of "Absentees' Property". Israeli contractors, then, uproot all fruit trees and build colonies.

Israeli armed extremist terrorist settlers (colonizers) build their colonies on usurped Palestinian land and start terrorizing the adjacent Palestinian villages. Understanding the value and importance of the olive groves to the Palestinian farmers, those extremist Israeli terrorists target this major economic source in an attempt to drive Palestinians away. They invade olive groves with their tractors and bulldozers to harvest the olives for themselves, to uproot trees, to cut branches, to poison water wells, to set fire to crops, and to attack all Palestinians, who attempt to protect their fields. Many times, at the beginning of harvest season, they spray the fruit trees with chemicals to spoil the harvest and to kill the trees.

The terror attacks of settlers (colonizers) during harvest time has been gradually increasing every years until lately it had become a widespread phenomenon. The Israeli Haaretz noted that Israeli police reports have shown that settlers attacks against Palestinians during olive harvest season this year is the highest for the last ten years. I have counted in the media at least 35 terrorist attacks throughout the West Bank specifically related to olive harvest since the beginning of month of October. Many other attacks have not been reported due isolation and to media obstruction. Such number is a clear indication of a wide spread systematic plan of targeting Palestinian farmers during their olive harvest.

Other terrorist attacks such as setting fire to schools and mosques, shooting Palestinian civilians, intentional vehicular hit and run of Palestinian children, violent night raids against Palestinian homes, and eviction of Palestinian families and forceful occupation of their homes are still rampant although not counted in this article.

The majority of settlers' terrorist attacks (90%) took place in areas where Israeli army has security jurisdiction under the Oslo Accord. The increasing frequencies of the attacks indicate at least an intentional failure of the Israeli security forces to protect Palestinians. Under international law an occupying power (Israel in this case) is responsible for the safety of the people under occupation (the Palestinians). The attacks keep on happening in the same areas over and over again. If willing, the Israeli government could send security forces to these areas to prevent clashes. In its complicity the Israeli government encourages terrorist settlers (colonizers) to continue their attacks.

Those terrorist settlers (colonizers) are not restricted to one certain segment of Israelis, rather they come from the whole social spectrum of Israelis; religious, orthodox, secular and mixed colonizers. Their terrorism reflects the true genocidal nature of the Zionist ethnic cleansing philosophy and plan for establishing Greater Israel in an Arab-free Middle East.

Pictures and videos all over the internet show the presence of Israeli soldiers watching settlers attacking Palestinians and don't break up the clashes except to defend settlers, and to harass, beat, arrest Palestinians who dare to defend their groves, and to confiscate the whole harvested crops claiming it as evidence. In cases were arson is involved the Israeli soldiers usually obstruct access of Palestinian firefighters at nearby roadblocks.

Many Palestinian farmers had resorted to the Israeli police reporting the attacks and requesting protection. Since the job of the Israeli police is to protect settlers (colonizers) rather than Palestinians, they ignore such reports. The Israeli Yesh-Din organization (Volunteers for Human Rights) released a study showing that over 90% of police alleged investigations into settlers' attacks against Palestinians fail to produce any indictment and were closed on the grounds of "unknown perpetrators" or insufficient evidence.

The phenomenon of terrorist attacks by Israeli settlers (colonizers) against Palestinian farmers have been noticed by international human rights organizations such as International Solidarity Movement (ISM), who have arranged to send international volunteers to help and to protect Palestinian farmers while harvesting olives. The presence of such international volunteers, with their cameras, had in some areas, deterred and prevented violent settlers (colonizers) and Israeli soldiers from attacking Palestinian farmers. In other areas ISM volunteers, themselves, were specifically targeted by extremist settlers (colonizers) and had sustained injuries even during the presence of Israeli soldiers, who just stood there watching the attacks.

Since attacking ISM volunteers have been captured on cameras and broadcasted throughout European countries the Israeli government had adopted strict and harsh measures to deny international volunteers entry at the airport. The Israeli army had also issued orders to Palestinian villages warning them that housing international activists is illegal and would result in arrests. It was also reported through Palestinian radio that large fines of 6000 NIS have been sentenced against farmers who had invited international activists to accompany them during the olive harvest.

After the harvest Palestinian farmers either sell their olives as is, or press them and sell them as olive oil. Another Israeli method of destroying Palestinian olive harvest is by imposing high fees and taxations against the export of Palestinian olive products. Since Israeli army controls all border terminals the Israeli government hinders and delays the export of olive. In many occasions the products would be stored in warehouses until they get spoiled while waiting for export permits. Meanwhile Palestinians are charged high fees and taxes for storing and exporting their olives. Farmers end up selling their products locally for very cheap prices. Israeli companies would also buy the products from the farmers then turn around and sell them abroad as Israeli products making a lot of profits.

Israeli government always put the responsibility on Hamas government or Lebanese government for any border violent incident against Israeli settlers. Yet it does not take any responsibility for their terrorist settlers attacking Palestinian farmers, stealing their crops, and burning their trees. On the contrary Palestinian farmers are taken to Israeli courts, charged with attacking settlers, and forced to pay large amounts of fines. Such actions send a clear encouraging message to settlers to continue their terrorist crimes.

Settlers' (colonizers) attacks have become as a guaranteed phenomenon as the harvest season itself. Those terrorist settlers (colonizers) are funded by large segments of the American Jewish community and by American tax exempted Jewish organizations with the knowledge and protection of both the Justice Department and Department of Home Land Security. Such funding encourages more terrorism and counter-terrorism rather than peace the Obama administrations claims to pursue in the Middle East.

Warning from the Obama administration’s submission to Israeli pressure, in an interview with OTV, Michael Scheuer, a ‘former’ senior CIA officer, said: “Three hundred million Americans could wake up tomorrow to discover that a foreign leader, Benjamin Netanyahu, led them to war with Iran, which might lead to war with the rest of the Muslim world”. He added, “Israel has no value whatsoever when it comes to American interests. It does not produce or give us anything we need. The only thing we get from it is that it is leading us to a religious war it seeks with Islam”.

Documents released by the National Security Archives Center, after having been declassified, show that hours after the 9/11 attacks, US Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld talked about attacking Iraq – according to minutes of a meeting held that day – and asked for “evidence which shows an alleged relationship between the former head of the Iraqi regime and al-Qaeda leader”. The United States acknowledged later that no relation existed between the former Iraqi regime and the 9/11 attacks. Nevertheless, it went ahead with invading Iraq.

In his memoirs, ‘former’ British Prime Minister Tony Blair admitted that “there was no evidence to prove Iraqi ties to al-Qaeda”, or that it possessed mass destruction weapons”. The decision to invade Iraq was taken on the first day that George W. Bush and his team took office.

Shall we wait, every time, for a certain official responsible for waging a war to retire, to know the real objective of that war? The more important question is: why do not Western officials, who play leading roles in their countries with impact on the lives of millions of people in other countries, dare say the truth and behave accordingly? Why do they, in moments like invading Iraq, toe the line of other forces and reduce themselves to mere instruments. The answer might be that these forces are capable of shaking their positions or even putting an end to their political existence altogether under one pretext or another.

If we examine what is happening today, in light of what happened in the past, we find that the six countries involved in negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program state repeatedly that they “prefer a diplomatic solution with Iran”. President Obama, during his election campaign, said he “does not want or intend to strike Iran”. Even today, Augustus R. Norton, Professor at Boston University, said, “There is little enthusiasm at the Pentagon to launch war against Iran”. Who then is drumming up war against Iran? And who is drumming up war against it or against Lebanon every time the prospects of a peaceful settlement looms in the horizon? One should also ask about the source of Islamophobia; and its relation to what Israel is trying to achieve in terms of massacres and ethnic and religious cleansing of Muslims and Christians in order to create their Jewish state.

There are two main factors here: the first is that most Western media are owned by sympathizers with Israel and edited by people of their elke. That is why most Western officials do not dare say the truth when it comes to Israel’s crimes. They might whisper in private, or write in their memoirs after they leave office and become ‘former’ officials about the racist reality of Israel. But it is rare to find a Western official prepared to sacrifice his position to reveal the truth to the World. When Swedish Foreign Minister Anna Lindh did this, she lost her life in obscure circumstances. That is why private memoirs of ‘former’ officials shed light on past events. But we should learn the lesson from past decisions which brought destruction and disasters to millions of people in order to avoid similar ones which could bring the world similar disasters.

The second factor is that Arabs in general still deal with the United States, which gives billions of dollars worth of weapons to Israel, in addition to the money given to expand settlements and support settlers, as if it were neutral and an honest broker between Arabs and Israelis. In this regard, they should not spend hours of research to find out that this is only an illusion. They only need to recall footage of American Secretary of State Hilary Clinton arriving in occupied Palestine and received by Shimon Peres, holding his hands and massaging them with warmth and affection. Her body language reveals that they are one side trying to entrap the Arab side and destroy it. She did so, as if she had not heard the racist statements of Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, who said about the Arabs, on the Jewish New Year celebrations, “God should strike them with a plague, them and these Palestinians”; and as if she did not hear of Israeli soldier Eden Aberjil, after she posted photos of her blindfolded Palestinian prisoners on Facebook, “I would enjoy killing Arabs”. All this racism did not merit a word of condemnation from any Western official.

The reason is pretty clear; and the essence of which could be found in an article by Jeff Gates entitled “How the Israel Lobby Took Control of U.S. Foreign Policy” in which he explains how AIPAC invites candidates for elections who show a willingness to serve Israeli interests and provides them with a list of contributors who could double their election budget, and how AIPAC insures that its candidates are elected to Congress. He gives names and figures of people whose political history changed after they relied on Zionist money, particularly President Harry Truman who recognized Israel minutes after the announcement of its creation. Gates concludes that “Therein lies the perils of an entangled alliance that induced the U.S. to invade Iraq and now seeks war with Iran. By allowing foreign agents to operate as a domestic lobby, the U.S. was induced to confuse Zionist interests with its own”.

This explains why the US Defense Secretary protested what is expected to be a deal to sell Russian missiles to Syria after Israel declared its opposition to the deal, although it is armed to the teeth with all sorts of mass destruction weapons.

Part of the tragedies of the peoples of Palestine, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Somalia, and the dangers threatening Iran, Sudan and Yemen, is caused by the cowardice of leaders and their succumbing to the dictates and temptation of Zionist money and the blackmail of Israeli media and not responding to their human conscience and the interests of their nations which they are supposed to represent.

Министерство разведки Ирана сообщает сегодня об аресте четырех человек, связанных с британскими спецслужбами. Как передает иранский сайт PressTV, террористы в течение двух лет убили пятерых человек в Иране, получив денежное вознаграждение. Имена жертв убийц не публикуются.

Задержанные признались в инкриминируемых преступлениях, а также сообщили, что получали приказы от некоего Джалила Фаттахи, постоянно проживающего в Великобритании. Он обычно переправлял им деньги и оружие через иракскую границу. Фаттахи также обвиняется в совершении убийств в Иране.

Задержанные пожаловались на невыполнение обязательств британской стороной. По их словам, первоначально им обещали 20 000 долларов США для каждого террористического акта, но были заплачены только 8 000 долларов.

Джалил Фаттахи - один из командующих террористической группой Komala, на счету у которой ряд терактов в западных иранских городах, сообщает PressTV.

Арестованные в Мариване террористы Маджид Бахтияр, Хаджир Эбрагими, Логман Моради и Занияр Моради являются членами группы Komala.

Министерство разведки Ирана также сообщило, что Великобритания не только вела секретные шпионские действия в стране, но и финансировала и поддерживала определенные террористические группы против исламской республики.

МИД Великобритании пока не комментирует это сообщение. Власти Ирана давно обвиняют британские спецслужбы в поддержке террористических организаций, действующих на иранской территории.

MURDOCH DRUMS UP “WAR” WHERE PROPAGANDA COLLIDES WITH TRUTH

In his recent pep-talk to the Anti-Defamation League, media magnate Rupert Murdoch complains about “an ongoing war against the Jews”

He seems desperate to divert attention from the mounting resentment around the world towards Israel. But his threadbare argument collapses straightaway because no distinction is made between criminal Israelis and Jews generally. The one remains carefully hidden behind the other.

And the anti-Semitism label tends to get pinned on anyone and everyone in European society, “from its most élite politicians to its largely Muslim ghettoes”, who speaks against or as much as frowns at the racist regime.

The after-dinner audience he was addressing no doubt lapped it up, but unfortunately for Mr Murdoch people are better informed nowadays. I doubt if the wider audience buys it.

What they find unacceptable is Israel’s lawlessness and unrestrained killing. The much-hyped religious dimension is only relevant insofar as the perpetrators hide behind religion’s skirts and misinterpret religious texts to whitewash their crimes.

What also undermines Mr Murdoch’s case is the fact that not all Jews support the state of Israel or approve the dispossession and removal of its indigenous (Arab) population. An increasing number, to their credit, actively campaign against it.

And not all of Israel’s supporters are Jewish. They include battalions of Christian Zionists.

It is not surprising that the “Jewish state” has come under strong criticism. Any state, with or without tribal or religious underpinnings, would be roundly condemned if it misbehaved in the same way.

As for the speech, Mr Murdoch kicks off by telling the ADL:

“You have championed equal treatment for all races and creeds.”

If only that were true. As their website and mission statement show, the ADL are preoccupied with supporting Israel. They are not interested in combating Israeli hate groups or defending the security of (let’s say) the Palestinians.

He continues:

“My own perspective is simple: We live in a world where there is an ongoing war against the Jews… Now the war has entered a new phase. This is the soft war that seeks to isolate Israel by de-legitimizing it… In this war, the aim is to make Israel a pariah.”

Israel has already made itself a pariah by its hateful attitude, disregard for international law and defiance of UN resolutions. A question mark hangs over its own legitimacy while it attempts to isolate and de-legitimize the democratically elected government of neighbouring Palestine, whose remaining lands it covets and illegally occupies or blockades.

“Often this new anti-Semitism dresses itself up as legitimate disagreement with Israel.”

Disagreeing with Israel is anti-Semitic? We laughed at the Germans for having no sense of humour. Must we now laugh at the Israelis?

Israel’s unwillingness to accept criticism is part of its undoing. Rejecting out of hand the Goldstone Report in relation to war crimes against the Gazans only magnifies the regime’s arrogance. Are deniers of Goldstone any better than deniers of the Holocaust?

“For me, this ongoing war is a fairly obvious fact of life. Every day, the citizens of the Jewish homeland defend themselves against armies of terrorists whose maps spell out the goal they have in mind: a Middle East without Israel.”

Armies of terrorists? Every day? Really?

The principle of homeland defence, of course, applies equally to Arabs. The high-tech terror they face is real and bristles with state-of-the-art weaponry. It is a hundred times worse than any terror faced by Israeli citizens. Check the death and destruction statistics.

In case Mr Murdoch hadn’t noticed, Israel itself is widely regarded as a terror state frequently resorting, as it does, to assassinations and extra-judicial executions, abductions and torture, massacres and starvation sieges, air-strikes, armed incursions, the use of prohibited weapons on civilians and massive violations of human rights? It must be galling for the regime’s well-wishers to see how perfectly Israel fits the terrorist definition used by the US to blacklist and squelch countries that get in its way.

Talking of maps, I hear the Israelis have already deleted Palestine (and Palestinian place-names) from theirs. And it’s well known that they demolished and obliterated hundreds of Palestinian villages after putting the inhabitants to flight.

“Israel becomes increasingly ostracized, while Iran – a nation that has made no secret of wishing Israel’s destruction – pursues nuclear weapons loudly, proudly, and without apparent fear of rebuke.”

No fear of rebuke for Israel either. It is the only state in the region not to have signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. Given its 200 (or is it 400?) nuclear warheads and its freaky leadership, Israel poses a serious threat to its neighbours and far beyond. Moreover, it hasn’t signed the Biological and Toxin Weapons Convention and hasn’t ratified the Comprehensive Nuclear Test-Ban Treaty or the Chemical Weapons Convention.

Can Mr Murdoch, by any chance, show proof of Iran’s nuclear weapons programme? And since Israel has spoken of nuking Iran, what is the point of claiming Iran wishes Israel’s destruction?

“Some believe that if America wants to gain credibility in the Muslim world and advance the cause of peace, Washington needs to put some distance between itself and Israel.”

Now you’re making sense, Mr Murdoch…

“My view is the opposite. Far from making peace more possible, we are making hostilities

more certain.”

Now you’re not. Hostilities have been going on for years.

The latest panic in Western capitals over the “undetectable” printer cartridge bombs is a powerful warning that countries aligning themselves with the US-Israel axis are asking for trouble. Ordinary westerners are tired of being put in harm’s way by America’s coziness with Israel and by Britain’s sniffing around both of them like a bitch in heat.

Disengagement is what most people around here have long wanted.

“Far from making things better for the Palestinian people, sour relations between the United States and Israel guarantees that ordinary Palestinians will continue to suffer.”

Does this mean Israel would turn the screws on the helpless just for spite?

“The peace we all want will come when Israel feels secure.”

Peace will only come when EVERYONE feels secure. It is not a one-way street.

As Mr Murdoch surely knows, Hamas have said they will accept Israel within its internationally-recognised 1967 borders, which is the same position adopted by the United Nations. This, the most obvious avenue to peace, is studiously ignored by Israel.

“Right now we have war. There are many people waging this war. Some blow up cafes. Some fire rockets into civilian areas… Some are fighting the soft war, through international boycotts and resolutions condemning Israel.”

And some wage war on women and children and even target unarmed fishermen.

Some also commit acts of piracy and murder on the high seas against volunteers bringing humanitarian aid.

That’s war. And it’s dirty war, waged by Israel. But boycotting Israeli goods and tourism is not war. It’s exercising one’s freedom of choice. It’s registering one’s disgust. Israel’s tourism minister was this week doing the same thing, urging that “Turkey must be totally boycotted as a tourism destination”.

Face the truth, ask forgiveness

If Mr Murdoch, with all his persuasive powers, cannot put up a convincing defence of Israel, no-body can. He shows here that anyone attempting it is on a hiding to nothing.

The root of the problem is the fundamental evil of the Zionist Project and the fanatics in the US, Britain and elsewhere who backed it and still fan the flames.

I commend to Mr Murdoch the Jerusalem Declaration of 2006 by the Local Heads of Churches in Jerusalem, who daily have to operate amidst the disruption and devastation inflicted by Israel on Palestinian life. They reject Christian Zionist doctrines as “a false teaching that corrupts the biblical message of love, justice and reconciliation”, and they reject the alliance of Christian Zionist leaders with the governments of Israel and the United States that impose pre-emptive borders and domination over Palestine.

Christian Zionism supports these policies and “advances racial exclusivity and perpetual war”. The Declaration calls on everyone to “liberate themselves from ideologies of militarism and occupation”.

Perhaps Mr Murdoch is not yet ready for that kind of liberation. For the timebeing he talks up a “war against the Jews” when it is merely the flashpoint where propaganda lies finally collide with the sickening truth about Israel. It’s a slow motion train-crash that’s been waiting to happen.

So I haven’t given up on Mr Murdoch just yet. However you regard him he’s a remarkable man. Who knows – in the end he may decide there is no honour in Israel’s rogue schemes and it would be more sensible for the regime to stop the lies, face the truth, atone for its crimes, hand back what has been stolen, conform to international law, charter rules and normal codes of conduct, and respect neighbours’ rights.

That’s the way forward.

And it should not forget to ask forgiveness from God, from the US taxpayer and from those in the wider Jewish community who have winced with shame. Seeking a pardon from the Holy Land’s Arab communities – Muslim and Christian – for treating them so abominably for 60-odd years would be a hard road to take but is the only way to achieve reconciliation and ultimately find contentment.

В нарушении прав человека обвиняют службу безопасности Израиля два комитета по защите прав человека. В докладе озвучены факты недостойного обращения с палестинскими заключенными, в том числе причинения тяжких телесных повреждений.

«Заключенные содержались в грязных камерах, в которых отсутствуют окна и элементарная система вентиляции», - говорится в совместном докладе организаций «Бецелем» и «Хамокед», цитируемом во вторник “Sueddeutsche.de”.

Во время длительных допросов заключенных, как правило, привязывали к стульям, подвергали издевательствам, угрожали и избивали, что противоречит израильскому законодательству.

В основу доклада был положен опрос 120 палестинцев, которые в 2009 году находились какое-то время в заключении в лагере израильского города Петах-Тиква. Израильское Министерство юстиций отрицает факт данных нарушений и заявляет о том, что якобы при работе с заключенными закон никогда не нарушался.

Тридцать лет назад, в мае 1980 года, тогдашний президент США и верховный главнокомандующий Джимми Картер объявил в стране траур по восьми погибшим американским военнослужащим. Факт весьма не ординарный. Ведь война во Вьетнаме уже пять лет как завершилась, а до другой, в Ираке, еще было долгих одиннадцать лет. Парни, по которым был общенациональный траур, погибли в боевых действиях. Но в действиях особого рода – в спецоперации на территории суверенного государства.


Хомейни против Картера

В феврале 1979 года в Иране власть перешла в руки духовенства во главе с аятоллой Хомейни, провозгласившим создание «исламской республики». После свержения шахского режима отношения между Тегераном и Вашингтоном резко обострились…


4 ноября 1979 года группа иранских студентов – адептов духовного лидера иранской революции аятоллы Хомейни, поддержанные правительством Ирана, захватила американское посольство в иранской столице. 53 сотрудника посольства удерживались в качестве заложников.

Это было сделано под предлогом того, что посольство стало «гнездом шпионажа» против Ирана и Исламской революции. Что, кстати, подтвердили опубликованные позднее документы, захваченные в американском диппредставительстве. Студенты потребовали от Америки выдачи бывшего шаха Мохаммеда Реза Пехлеви (вместе с семьей монарх покинул страну) и возвращения награбленных богатств, размещенных в банках Запада.


По некоторым данным, в числе тех, кто удерживал американское посольство, был и нынешний глава государства Махмуд Ахмадинежад. Вскоре после Исламской революции он добровольцем вступил в ряды КСИР – Корпуса стражей Исламской революции. (В годы ирано-иракской войны Ахмадинежад принимал личное участие в разведывательных и диверсионных операциях на территории Ирака.)

Тогда, в 1980-м, угрозы Ирану со стороны американского Госдепа не помогли. И США решили освободить заложников с использованием группы американского спецназа «Дельта форс», или в обиходе – просто «Дельта». Помимо спасения американских агентов и дипломатов, задержанных в посольстве США в Тегеране, важно было восстановить подмоченный имидж Вашингтона.


22 марта 1980 года президент Джимми Картер одобрил проведение спецоперации, получившей кодовое наименование «Орлиный коготь» (Eagle Claw). «Для ее выполнения, – свидетельствовал Збигнев Бжезинский, – мы заручились великодушным сотрудничеством одной дружественной страны и уже без ее ведома обеспечили сотрудничество кое-каких стран в этом районе».


Исполнителями определили небезызвестный ныне отряд коммандос «Дельта» под руководством ветерана вьетнамской войны полковника Чарльза Беквита (Charles Beckwith) и создававшееся тогда в строгой секретности вертолетное спецподразделение 160 («Ночные охотники») под командованием полковника ВВС Дэна Кайла (Dan Kyle).

Спецподразделение 160, сформированное из опытных пилотов-добровольцев, было оснащено новейшими вертолетами «Литл Бёрд» – сверхскоростными, маневренными и малошумными. Командир «Ночных охотников» бригадный генерал Хэнниз говорил, что «здесь собраны лучшие из лучших, умеющие безукоризненно действовать на пределе возможного».


Согласно плану военно-транспортные самолеты «Геркулес» С-130 в сопровождении вертолетов «Си Стэллион» («Морские жеребцы») должны были доставить отряд коммандос в район ночной дозаправки горючим в пустыне Деште-Кевир («Пустыня-1»). После дозаправки вертолеты должны перебросить группу «Дельта» в район ожидания «Пустыня-2» у заброшенных соляных копей в 50 милях от Тегерана. Переждав день в укрытиях, на следующую ночь бойцы группы «Дельта», переодетые в гражданскую одежду, должны были совершить бросок в Тегеран на машинах, которые предоставят американские агенты, заранее заброшенные в Иран. Достигнув посольства, коммандос уничтожают охрану и освобождают заложников. Эвакуацию спецназовцев и заложников планировалось осуществить с помощью вертолетов RH-53D, которые должны приземлиться на территории посольства или на ближайший стадион. Огневую поддержку с воздуха оказывали три самолета АС-130, вооруженные скорострельными пушками.


Далее вертолеты эвакуируют спецназовцев и заложников на заброшенный аэродром Манзарийя (Manzariyeh) в 50 милях к югу от Тегерана. Этот аэродром к тому времени должен быть захвачен и удержан другим отрядом рейнджеров. Туда садятся военно-транспортные самолеты С-141, которые вывозят всех участников операции на секретную авиабазу в Египет под прикрытием палубных истребителей ВМС США.

План операции «Орлиный коготь», рассекреченный лишь несколько лет назад, осложнялся длительностью (две ночи), многоэтапностью (из-за удаленности Тегерана от морских границ) и необходимостью действовать в крупном городе. Поэтому участники рейда тренировались всю зиму 1980 года. Учения и тренировки проходили в пустынной местности в штате Юта, где природные условия и ландшафт схожи с пустыней Деште-Кевир. Консультировали участников спецы из западногерманской разведки, израильской «Моссад» и английской SAS (Special Air Service).


Злой рок


В середине апреля полковник Беквит, еще с вьетнамской войны широко известный в узких кругах профессионалов как «Атакующий Чарли», и полковник Кайл отрапортовали о готовности председателю Объединенного комитета начальников штабов генералу Джонсу. Но как потом стало известно, руководители операции не доложили «наверх» о том, что мартовские контрольные учения показали «полное отсутствие профессиональной выучки в вертолетном подразделении». На итоговых ночных учениях вертолеты приземлились на расстоянии мили друг от друга. Как бы то ни было, президент США Джимми Картер принял в Белом доме Беквита и Кайла, торжественно пообещав им что каждый участник будет награжден высшей наградой страны – Почетной медалью Конгресса.

Операция началась 24 апреля 1980 года. Предварительно эскадрилья С-130 была переброшена в Египет под предлогом участия в совместных учениях. Далее они перелетели на остров Масира (Оман). После дозаправки эскадрилья «Геркулесов» в темноте пересекла Оманский залив. В это же время с палубы авианосца «Нимиц» в Оманском заливе вылетели восемь «Морских жеребцов». Хотя в принципе для проведения операции достаточно было двух вертолетов RH-53D, рассчитанных на 50 человек. Но с учетом упоминавшегося выше невеселого вывода о низкой выучке вертолетчиков полковник Беквит решил перестраховаться аж в 4 раза. И как в воду глядел (Залива). Один «жеребец» упал в воду у палубы «Нимитца», второй потерял ориентировку и вернулся на авианосец. Третий вертолет сошел с дистанции из-за отказа гидравлической системы.


Так или иначе, 24 апреля шесть американских транспортных самолетов С-130 и восемь вертолетов с 90 спецназовцами на борту пересекли государственную границу Ирана, нарушив тем самым его суверенитет, и направились в Тегеран. (Туда были заблаговременно засланы специальные агенты для сбора разведданных). С юга вторгшуюся воздушную группировку прикрывало большое количество других самолетов, в том числе и радиоэлектронного противодействия. Они кружили над Персидским заливом и Аравийским морем.


Но после шестичасового перелета примерно в 400 километрах от иранской столицы над пустыней Деште-Кевир самолеты и вертолеты попали в песчаную бурю. Командир ведущей машины отрапортовал, что нужно немедленно возвращаться.

Другой пилот твердил, что не может взяться за штурвал. «Атакующий Чарли», он же полковник Беквит, в ответ кричал на подчиненных, называя их «трусами» и «козлами».


По плану операции была предусмотрена дозаправка на земле оставшихся пяти «жеребцов», которые должны были перебросить дельтовцев из «Пустыни-1» в «Пустыню-2». Но гладко было на бумаге, то есть на карте: в ЦРУ допустили явную ошибку при выборе площадки «Пустыня-1». Она оказалась рядом с действующим шоссе. Неудивительно, что вскоре участники операции увидели огни автомобильных фар. Коммандос подумали, что это иранские солдаты. Однако это был рейсовый автобус с сорока пассажирами. Американцы остановили его и под угрозой оружия заставили иранцев лечь лицом в песок.


Уже с этого момента было ясно: факторы скрытности и внезапности были утрачены. В Вашингтон пошел запрос, что делать с иранцами? Не мудрствуя лукаво, там решили: всех погрузить в «Геркулес» и вывезти из Ирана.

Катастрофический провал


Но все расчеты поломала последняя случайность. После заправки один из вертолетов, взлетев в облаке пыли, врезался в «Геркулес» – воздушный заправщик. Раздался мощнейший взрыв. Обе машины вспыхнули. Все топливо для операции сгорело. Рвались боеприпасы и даже запаянные в жестянки сухпайки. Началась паника. Расположившейся невдалеке группе коммандос показалось, что это атака иранцев. Они открыли беспорядочный огонь. В суматохе вертолетчики побросали свои машины и принялись разбегаться куда глаза глядят. В кабинах остались секретные документы, карты, шифры, таблицы, новейшее оборудование, тысячные суммы в долларах и риалах. (Найденные на другой день иранцами секретные документы позволили им арестовать действовавших в стране агентов, уцелевшие же вертолеты были переданы иранским ВВС.)

В этой ситуации полковникам Беквиту и Кайлу ничего не оставалось делать, как отдать приказ убираться из проклятой пустыни: «Бросаем все, загружаемся на «Геркулесы» и сматываемся!». Бравые полковники даже не догадались уничтожить оставшиеся вертолеты. Когда группа поднялась в воздух, на земле остались стоять пять «жеребцов» и восемь «птичек». Операция «Орлиный коготь» обошлась Америке в 150 млн. долл. и в восемь погибших «джи-ай».

Как заведено не только в американской армии, надо было найти «стрелочников». Таковыми объявили тех, кого уже не было в живых, присовокупив сюда же нелады с техникой. Чины ВВС заявили, что случившееся – итог отмены призыва, приведшего... к снижению квалификации пилотов и техников. После анализа причин провала операции «Орлиный коготь» было сформировано объединенное командование специальных операций и проведены реорганизации в военном ведомстве.

Итоги и выводы — урок сегодняшнему времени

5 октября 1981 года из вертолетчиков – участников операции официально было сформировано спецподразделение 160 «Ночные охотники». Оно принимало участие во всех разведывательно-диверсионных операциях Пентагона. Гренада, Замбия, Панама, Персидский залив… Именно «Хантеры» осенью 1987 года потопили в Персидском заливе иранский танкер «Аджр». После начала известных событий в Югославии (март 1999-го) их по приказу президента Клинтона перебросили в Македонию.

А что стало с заложниками, обвиненными в шпионаже? Они удерживались в американском посольстве в Тегеране в течение 444 дней, до 20 января 1981 года. Символично, что это был последний день президентского срока Картера, проигравшего выборы Рональду Рейгану. Их освободили после ряда дипломатических переговоров, а конкретно – после согласия США пойти на определенные уступки (например размораживание иранских счетов в американских банках).


Каждые год в апрельские дни несколько тысяч иранцев собираются в пустыне, где потерпели катастрофу американские военные вертолеты. Акции в пустыне, где разбились американские вертолеты, проходили под лозунгом «Смерть Америке». В распространенном организаторами заявлении говорилось: «Божественное провидение всегда защищало иранский народ. Мы будем настаивать на нашем праве развивать ядерные технологии, поскольку победа всегда с теми, кто терпелив». А иранские парламентарии не раз советовали Вашингтону не повторять своих ошибок. «Следует напомнить США, что случилось 25 апреля 1980 года» – это слова спикера иранского парламента Голяма Али Хадад-Аделя.

В случае успеха операция «Орлиный коготь», по мнению экспертов, могла вызвать большое число жертв среди гражданского населения и привести к серьезному осложнению международной обстановки. Что касается нынешней ситуации в отношениях между Тегераном и Вашингтоном, то как не вспомнить, что за океаном не исключают военных действий против Ирана. На фоне событий в соседнем Ираке и Афганистане это может привести к военному пожару не только в регионе…
